writer's woe: (an idle mind is the devil's playground)
i cannot breathe.
my heart is suffocating its beats but does not bleed my heart is suffocating it beats but does not bleed
you are my lung.
you metaphysically morph
morphined thoughts into metaphors
mixing memories wiith things i remember.
you pump
the oxygen into my brain that
allows synapses to fire like fighter jets
a true war of the mind
ssssssss suffocating
your absence cuts off cappilaries
my heart is suffocating it beats but does not bleed
the Hester Prynne lettered hue onto these dead trees
i cannot breathe
you have collapsed and i cannot live
my heart is suffocating it beats but does not bleed
but
i
stilll
manage
to
leave a trail.

Hey, Jay!
ReplyDeleteThis was a very interesting piece! Interesting because it can mean so many things at once. Your creativity always excites me! Your words from beginning to end painted a vivid picture with very bright and bold colors. There was also a copy of Webster's Dictionary on the side of the painting, because your words are a part of the 100-New Word Vocab List! You go girl!
I admired how you took us on a picture graph of your feelings, and another person's emotional and physical toll, that was flyy!
Question: If you can give us ONE word on why decided to come up on this piece, what would it be?
And also, you said series, where exactly would that take us? I'm looking forward to following your ride!
Thanks for the good stuff!
LOL @ "Hey, Jay!"
ReplyDeleteButttt... thanks for the love! and to answer your question, I guess it was something waiting to get out! It's my metaphor for describing what my life has been like without writing. Like, I can't live happily without it, so this was just the way my fingers flew over the keyboard!
:)
